Terms of Service

1. Acceptance
These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Newsweaver. By creating an account or using the service at newsweaver.app, you agree to these Terms. If you are using Newsweaver on behalf of a company, you confirm you have authority to bind that company.
If you do not agree, do not use Newsweaver.
2. Your account
- You must provide accurate information when creating an account and keep it updated.
- You are responsible for safeguarding your credentials. Do not share them.
- You are responsible for activity that happens under your account, including any team members you invite.
- You must be at least 16 years old to use Newsweaver.
- One person should not maintain multiple free accounts to circumvent limits.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use Newsweaver for any illegal purpose or to violate any law in your jurisdiction.
- Upload content that is unlawful, defamatory, infringing, or harmful.
- Attempt to reverse engineer, scrape, or extract source code or AI models.
- Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the service without prior written permission.
- Interfere with or disrupt the service or the servers and networks connected to it.
- Use the service to send spam or unsolicited messages.
- Resell, rebrand, or offer Newsweaver as a service to third parties without a written agreement.
4. Your content and ours
Your content
You retain all rights to the content you submit, including weekly updates, glossary terms, prompts, and configuration. You grant Newsweaver a limited license to host, process, and display that content solely to provide the service to you and your team.
You are responsible for the legality of the content you submit and for having the rights to share it with us.
Our content
The Newsweaver software, brand, design, and documentation are owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not transfer any ownership in our content to you.
Feedback
If you send us suggestions or feedback, you grant us a perpetual, royalty-free license to use them without restriction. We are not obligated to act on feedback or compensate you for it.
5. AI features
Newsweaver uses AI to generate weekly digests from content your team submits.
- Outputs are generated, not guaranteed. AI may make mistakes, miss context, or produce unexpected results. You should review digests before relying on them for decisions.
- No training on your data. We do not use your content to train AI models, and our AI providers contractually prohibit training on submitted data.
- You own AI outputs. Subject to the underlying provider's terms, outputs generated from your content belong to you and your team.
- Subprocessor. Our current AI provider is listed in our Privacy Policy. We will update that list if it changes.
6. Subscriptions and billing
- Pricing is shown on our pricing page. We may change pricing for future billing periods with at least 30 days' notice to existing customers.
- Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled.
- You can cancel anytime from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
- We do not provide refunds for partial periods, except where required by law.
- Payment is processed by Stripe under its own terms. We do not store your card details.
- If a payment fails, we may suspend access to paid features until payment is resolved.
7. Confidentiality
Each party agrees to keep the other's confidential information confidential and use it only for the purposes of this agreement. Confidential information does not include information that is or becomes publicly available without breach, was already known, or is independently developed.
8. Termination
- You may stop using Newsweaver and delete your account at any time.
- We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these Terms, fail to pay, or expose the service to legal risk.
- On termination, we will delete your data per our Privacy Policy. Sections that by their nature survive termination will continue to apply.
9. Disclaimers
Newsweaver is provided "as is" and "as available." To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and the accuracy or reliability of AI outputs.
We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure against every threat. We will use commercially reasonable efforts to maintain availability.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- Newsweaver will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenues, data, or goodwill.
- Our total aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the service is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid to Newsweaver in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) USD $100.
These limits apply even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold Newsweaver harmless from any claim, damages, or expenses arising out of your use of the service, your content, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Singapore. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the service will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Singapore courts.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify account admins via email at least 14 days before the change takes effect. Your continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
